Getting to know Anil Shah

The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Salonia Singh and Associates. My approach is grounded in relational connection, cultural attunement, and trauma awareness. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, one in which your past and present experiences, strengths, and values all matter. My hope is to create a safe, warm, and honest space where you can explore, heal, grow, and move toward deeper connection with yourself and others.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is collaborative and active. My approach is warm, direct, and client-centered. I create a space that feels both supportive and honest, where we can explore what’s holding you back and develop tools for sustainable change. As a therapist trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems), I use evidence-based methods to help you get to the root of your struggles rather than just manage symptoms. Whether you’re facing anxiety, past trauma, relationship challenges, or a general sense of being “stuck,” our work focuses on building awareness, understanding patterns, and developing new ways to respond with clarity and compassion. I believe therapy should balance insight and practice. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself while learning concrete tools to regulate emotions, communicate effectively, and feel more connected in your relationships. I value authenticity and accountability. I’ll always be compassionate, but I’ll also gently challenge you when it serves your growth. Clients often describe our sessions as grounded, emotionally safe, and practical. My goal is not quick fixes, but steady, lasting progress that continues beyond therapy. Healing isn’t linear, but it’s possible when approached with patience, curiosity, and care. If you’ve been trying to “figure it out” on your own and still feel stuck, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening inside you, and begin moving toward lasting change. Together, we’ll work toward sustainable growth, helping you build a life that feels aligned, authentic, and truly your own.
