Anne Scouten, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Anne! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a dedicated and compassionate therapist, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My holistic approach to therapy is integrative, utilizing various evidence-based modalities such as Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and behavioral therapies with an emphasis on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I value creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship, empowering you to take an active role in your healing journey. My approach My therapeutic approach is rooted in my training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which is a structured and evidence-based modality designed to help individuals find ways to tolerate distress, regulate emotions, develop healthy coping tools, and strengthen their interpersonal relationships. DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices and principles, emphasizing the balance between acceptance and change. In addition to DBT, I tend to lean towards solution-focused and strength-based perspectives to support the treatment process. My focus My focus areas of practice include anxiety, depression, childhood abuse and trauma, attachment issues, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have worked for many years supporting victims and survivors of violence, intimate personal violence, and crisis management services. I also currently work with youth involved in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. I have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I am particularly passionate about working with young adults who are transitioning into adulthood and independent living. By fostering a non-judgmental and empathetic space, I aim to help clients develop coping skills, enhance their resilience, and achieve personal growth towards living their best lives.
