Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, even if that may sound cliché! Each individual brings their unique experiences to the process. It is important to be authentic with clients, fostering a warm and welcoming environment that ignites curiosity, encourages self-advocacy, and inspires a sense of empowerment. Sometimes, a touch of humor can help lighten the mood! My approach My therapeutic approach focuses on each individual, valuing their unique experiences and stories. It is a privilege to accompany my clients on their journeys. I believe that establishing a strong and trusting connection is essential, as my clients are the true experts of their own lives. My role is to offer compassionate, non-judgmental support, empowering them to navigate their challenges and discover their strengths. My focus Client focus involves working with teenagers and adults to address anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, self-advocacy, and providing allyship. My communication style I create a space where two individuals can explore together with curiosity, empathy, humility, and compassion. Clients have the opportunity to understand and explore their communication styles within the therapeutic relationship. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own therapeutic experience during my adolescence. In college, I developed a passion for the human experience, advocacy, and social justice, and I came to appreciate the value of people's stories and humanity. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience in various settings, including schools, social services, community behavioral health, and a shelter. Currently, I focus on building connections through allyship, curiosity, humility, advocacy, and empathy.
