Ashley Silver, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor who has been practicing in the field since 2019. I would love to meet with you and see how we might work together to create the meaningful change you are looking for. My approach is rooted in developmental neuroscience, attachment theory, and a deep understanding of how the nervous system influences thoughts, emotions, and behavior. I weave somatic practices into meaningful talk therapy. I consider not just what you are struggling with, but when and how your nervous system learned to adapt in that way. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, identity shifts, or trauma histories. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns they can’t fully explain - often cycling between over-functioning and shutdown, or struggling to stay connected to themselves and others. If you are curious about the deeper roots of your stress and are open to understanding how your nervous system patterns affect the way you think, feel, and respond, then we might be a great fit for therapy together. I’m compassionate, thoughtful, and clear in how I communicate. I ask meaningful questions, offer honest feedback when it’s helpful, and check in often to make sure we’re on the same page. I am real; it's hard for me to be "scripted" or phony. I don’t believe in pushing or performing in therapy. I care about building a relationship where you feel safe to be yourself and take your time. Whether we're making space for something big and messy or for something still and quiet, I will be right there with you through it.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I've always felt a deep pull toward helping people feel seen, supported, and connected to what they need. Long before I became a therapist, I was drawn to the heart of human development - what helps people grow, adapt, and heal in each stage of their lives. That calling led me into education, where I spent years working with children and families from preschool through high school. It wasn’t just a job; it was part of how I moved through the world, with a belief in meeting people where they are. Eventually, I realized my focus was shifting toward mental health and wellness. I wanted to be part of the work that seeks to honor the pain and complexity of being human. It is important, and it is necessary. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and step fully into the work I now do as a therapist. I approach goal setting as a collaborative, ongoing conversation, not a checklist to complete. For some people, it’s helpful to name specific goals early on. For others, it may take time to even know what they want to feel or what they want to move toward. I respect both. Our first session is a chance to slow down and get oriented. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in, how you’ve been coping, and what you’re hoping for, and it's okay if that’s still unclear. Part of finding "the right fit" in therapy is finding a therapist who can model the changes you want to see. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you want. There’s no pressure to have a perfect story or to know exactly what you need.
