Let’s face it, life can be rough sometimes. Just when you think things are about to settle, another thing pops up. And when you're in the thick of it, asking for help can be tough. So who is this guy offering help? I’m a queer identified, Latinx, male therapist with eight years of experience and a passion for working with folx from all walks of life. My approach I work from a psychodynamic and systemic perspective, specializing in substance use, relationship and familial issues, depression/anxiety, trauma, transitional periods in life, and identity issues. I take a holistic approach focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. Together, we can work through some of the easier and tougher aspects of life. My focus Have you been struggling with your sense of purpose? Maybe there are concerns with your relationships or substance use. I work with adults from across the sexuality spectrum, looking to build better relationships, enhance coping skills, process trauma, or work on substance use. We'll create a plan that feels empowering and calming. My communication style I like to create and foster an environment where people feel like they can be themselves within a nonjudgmental and open space. If you're ready to dive in, I often ask questions to think about yourself from a different angle. Even if you're not ready to let the guard down yet, we can focus on getting to know one another. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into the field was a bit by happenstance. Take a curious and empathetic kid who loves people and a love for learning, who found a passion in helping others (especially those within his queer community), and you get a person who is driven to make others feel welcomed, understood, and at peace. All this informs how I hope to help you feel. My goals for you I believe we all have the pieces that we need to understand ourselves, our issues, and how to navigate them all. Where we often get stuck is how to put all the pieces together.
