Hi there, I'm Bobbie! My name is Bobbie Griffin, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Colorado State University. I work with individuals ranging from adolescents through adulthood to help them achieve their therapeutic goals using a holistic approach. When I am not practicing therapy, I enjoy gardening and being outside, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. My approach My therapeutic approaches vary depending on the individual needs of my clients. I use a holistic approach and most often incorporate motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Perspective, and mindfulness. I also have experience with Christian Counseling. My focus My experience includes working with diverse individuals from adolescence through adulthood. I have worked with those who have experienced sexual trauma, child abuse, developmental disabilities, peer relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, and life transitions. My communication style I actively listen to my clients, engage honestly, and share information openly. When needed, I adjust my communication style to support clients with developmental disabilities. I assign homework to help clients practice skills that aid in their healing process. My journey to mental healthcare Over the years, I have worked with disabled adults in various settings, the elderly, children and families in the child welfare system, adolescents in the school system, and have actively participated in supporting others and helping with outreaches through church. I decided to become a therapist because I find it rewarding to help others achieve their life goals and overcome barriers to living a fulfilling life.
