Getting to know Brandi Hughes

My name is Brandi Hughes, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I offer telehealth services to adolescents and adults of every gender expression and sexual orientation who are experiencing relational difficulties, environmental stressors, challenges with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I understand that every person is different, and their needs and challenges may vary, so I use a wide range of interventions including but not limited to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy combined with Client-Centered Therapy and mindfulness practices to assist with facing challenges head-on. My approach I understand first-hand the power of collaboration, and I aim to create opportunities to explore how I can best help you help yourself. My therapeutic approach varies based on what you're experiencing and your individual needs; however, the work together is collaborative. I most frequently use motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with Client-Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy to assist individuals with developing a path toward healing, finding balance and peace, and overall wellness. My focus I have experience in community-based mental health. Most often, I work with adolescents and adults. I foster safety, authenticity, respect, and vulnerability. I work to assist individuals with returning to their best version of themselves, building on their insight, and learning new skills to navigate through past, current, and even future challenges. My communication style My communication style can be described as calm, supportive, authentic, compassionate, and culturally responsive. I seek to cultivate a space where individuals can feel safe to process difficult transitions and emotions, learn new skills, and increase their overall wellness.
