Getting to know Brandy Bergreen Brown

I have worked with children, adolescents, and families in residential treatment, focusing on a range of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, self-injurious behaviors, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, OCD, PTSD, sexual abuse trauma, intergenerational trauma, and LGBTQ issues, including gender identity. Most importantly, I am a human being who has lived through and overcome my struggles and practiced compassion and understanding for others. I work from a strengths-based approach to empower clients to utilize their unique strengths and abilities to cope. I hold a Master's degree in Educational and Clinical Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. My therapeutic style is eclectic, rooted in psychodynamic therapy, existential therapy, interpersonal process, family systems, and attachment. I have a passion for learning, helping, and growing with the people I work with during therapy. Our mistakes do not define us, and a diagnosis does not define us.
