Brian Petry, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Brian! Welcome—I am here to help you achieve your goals. I hold a Master’s in Psychology from Brandman University and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of California. My approach I view each person through a holistic lens, recognizing the intricate parts that work together to create our current situation. I collaborate with clients to develop a treatment plan focused on their goals. I see myself as someone who has the tools and expertise on how to use them, but the client is the one who decides what they want to build. My focus I work with a wide range of clients but specialize in self-esteem issues, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. My communication style My communication style is professional with hints of warmth and understanding. Working with me is challenging but rewarding. Often, clients feel a little worse before they start feeling better—much like beginning a fitness routine with a coach. My goals for you My approach to goal setting is collaborative. Just as a GPS guides you to your destination, I believe therapy should do the same. Each person’s destination is unique and should be decided by the client. As your therapist, I help you explore possible destinations and show you how to get there. My first session with you In our first session, we’ll explore what brought you to this point. Together, we’ll create short-term and long-term goals to navigate your current situation. Then, we’ll learn skills and work through vulnerabilities to help prevent similar challenges from arising again.
