Brittany Parsons, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
Hi there, I'm Brittany! Hello! My name is Brittany Parsons, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Westminster, Colorado area. I work with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with teenagers (12 and older) through older adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), grief, and trauma. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a person-centered, eclectic, and solution-focused approach to therapy. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, which laid the foundation for my diverse clinical experience. My approach to therapy varies and is eclectic, based on the needs of each client. I try to meet people where they are at and adjust my approach based on client feedback and my observations. My most frequently used approaches are CBT, ACT, person-centered, eclectic, and solution-focused. These methods help me learn about the client, identify values, and develop goals and behavioral changes based on those values. I have found that my therapeutic style is a good fit for a variety of ages-from 12 years old through late adulthood. I am familiar with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, and trauma. I like to give clients space and time to process challenging emotions and histories, helping them identify and develop the tools they need to cope better in the future. My communication style is calm, supportive, assertive, and relational. I like to get to know clients before diving into therapy right away. I strive to make clients feel that I am a safe space and that I will listen without judgment. I have been doing a variety of social work for 11 years. I love working with people and learning about them to see how I can possibly help with their life journey.
