Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Brittnay! I am a licensed therapist providing culturally grounded, intersectional mental health support across California. As a Black, queer practitioner, my practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens when you can bring your entire, authentic self into the room. My focus My ideal clients are QTBIPOC college students, emerging adults, and mid-career professionals navigating life at the intersections of multiple marginalized identities, as well as couples seeking culturally safe relationship support. They are often feeling exhausted from the daily weight of systemic oppression, minority stress, and constant pressure. My approach I offer an unapologetic, trauma-informed space where your lived experiences as a QTBIPOC individual are not just understood, but honored. Together, we will work through life’s complexities without you ever needing to explain your basic identity. My communication style My communication style is rooted in a warm, authentic, and decolonized approach to mental health. I am grounded in deep cultural humility and lived intersectional experience. I balance gentle candor and wit with trauma-informed, affirmative listening. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began in child welfare, where I spent several years on the front lines witnessing firsthand how deeply broken our institutions can be. Traditional systems consistently fail to provide the compassionate, holistic care people truly need and deserve. Driven by a deep call to heal others, my goal was to build a different kind of practice. My goals for you I RESPECT my clients' experiences; I use a systemic lens to help process minority stress, examine complex patterns, and feel genuinely seen, safe, and supported as you heal at your own pace. I empower clients to reconnect with their personal values, trust their intuition, and turn meaningful self-reflection into sustainable, real-world healing.
