Hello, my name is Brittney Lang, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield. I have over 9 years of experience working with transitional-aged youth, young adults, and at-risk youth. If you are seeking support for a specific challenge or situation, I am here to actively listen and guide you through the process while focusing on personal growth. My approach is empathetic, compassionate, and understanding, creating a safe space for my clients to discuss challenges they may be experiencing. I work on identifying coping skills and thought patterns using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, exploring the relationships between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we focus on recognizing negative thoughts and replacing them with healthier ones. I utilize a supportive and collaborative approach to assist with setting client goals for personal growth. I primarily work with adolescents, young adults, and adults to create goals and navigate life transitions from adolescence to adulthood. I support clients facing challenges such as career goals, building relationships, stressful life events, incarceration, and other difficulties that may arise during this transition. I am most comfortable helping individuals manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. My communication style fosters an empathetic environment that acknowledges the challenges and stress youth and young adults may face. I provide active listening, positive feedback, and the support needed to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. I create a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space for clients to express their challenges. My approach is genuine, honest, and transparent while maintaining appropriate boundaries in the therapeutic relationship.

The provider clearly stated that she was accepting new patients and that she also sees teenagers on Zocdoc profile. Once I booked and relied on the appointment date and time I was told by Rula the scheduling partner that the provider didn’t see my age category and she requested to cancel the appt. Yet every single time I exclusively selected therapy for teens she would show up. It was extremely inconvenient as I needed this appointment before my kiddo could start school.
