Getting to know Camille Coulter

Hello, I'm Camille and I'm all about Empowerment! If you are surviving instead of thriving, I offer to be your safe person to process your pain with, to further your personal growth, and to support you in your endeavors. Let's take back your life and make it meaningful! My approach I utilize Narrative, Experiential, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) approaches. I practice Neurofeedback and will be trained in EMDR by the end of Spring 2024. Let's break through where you are stuck and dream-build to create a purpose-driven life full of joy and satisfaction! My focus A majority of my clients are marginalized teens and their caregivers. Most arrive with high anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, depression, and stress related to operating within dysfunctional family systems and/or work situations. I resonate with empowering all humans to find their footing and take on the complexities of life. My communication style It is important to collaborate together. I provide a safe space for all orientations, genders, and beliefs to be heard and validated. I also offer coping skills, communication tools, resources, and ideas to help you achieve a purpose-driven life full of joy. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my Master's in Counseling from Simpson University. Before this, I had careers as a journalist and investor, but raising children allowed me to understand the importance of nurturing others. This heart and soul work is crucial for the good of humanity and is therefore very rewarding. My goals for you I seek to understand where you are now and where you want to be. I become curious and look for both strengths and gaps. Determining together what is important, we make a plan to strive at a reasonable and achievable pace. I provide psychoeducation along the way to understand the journey. You may not feel it is possible to step into another realm, but there is always room for growth!

Camille is empathetic I found her easy to communicate with. I specifically sought EMDR, which Camille provided. I had EMDR before and know once you open that trauma you have to resolve it. Camille was not interested in talking w me through the issues EMDR brought up. She said she really wanted to focus on providing EMDR itself, not follow up. Camille was my second provider on Rula and I did not want to go through a background process with a third provider so I stopped seeking therapy.
