Getting to know Catherine Gladki

Hi there, I'm Catherine! My name is Catherine Gladki, but you can call me Katie. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, working with individual clients statewide via telehealth. I treat adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, using evidence-based modalities and personalized care. I believe therapy is an important form of self-care, and I want to make it as accessible as possible. My approach My approach is tailored to each individual client and involves encouraging you to take an active role in your treatment. We are a team, and I want to work with you to get the most out of this experience. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy and am available throughout the day, including early morning and early evening hours. Missing work or other commitments for a therapy appointment adds an extra stressor, so let’s try to avoid that and get you feeling better! My focus I have found that my approach is a good fit for adults, especially those aged 40 and older, who may be dealing with trauma, the challenges of life transitions, and an evolving sense of self. These things often show up in the form of depression, anxiety, or co-occurring addiction. I have experience working with military veterans and would also welcome clients with a military or first responder background. My communication style My communication style is direct but genuine and supportive. I hope that you will feel safe sharing with me, knowing I am here to listen without judgment and to help guide you. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up, I noticed there was a lot of stigma surrounding therapy and mental health, and only medical care was viewed as a priority. If you sought out therapy, it was assumed there was something “wrong” with you. Breaking down barriers to care and moving away from that stigma are important to the future of mental health.
