Modern life can feel overwhelming, even under the best of circumstances. It’s completely natural to need support. That said, what differentiates one person from another is having the courage to seek help. I am here to walk alongside you, offering a safe space where you can express your feelings and explore your thoughts without judgment. I invite you to reach out. My approach The unique nature of each client inspires me to draw from a number of therapeutic philosophies. By taking an integrative approach, I am able to combine elements of Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Interpersonal, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Humanistic, and Dialectical-Behavioral (DBT) practices to create personalized treatment plans. My focus I can assist you with gaining an understanding of why you have a tendency to think, feel, and behave in ways that can be unproductive, confusing or self-destructive. I believe gaining insight into a symptom's origin rather than the symptom itself creates space for a deeper understanding of oneself and promotes meaningful change. That change is driven by a desire for personal growth, joy, and balance. For example, if you were experiencing debilitating anxiety prior to flying on an airplane, I'd suggest we look at contributing factors from the past that are creating a belief that may no longer be accurate or helpful today. My communication style My communication style is interactive, open, and sometimes-- believe it or not--appropriately humorous. I believe connecting through real conversations rather than relying solely on forms or checklists is what builds trust. I also believe that without trust, our ability to shine a light on what lies beneath psychological pain is not taking full advantage of the therapeutic experience. If we’re working through something especially challenging, you can expect me to be calm, fully present, and capable of ensuring your emotions are contained prior to the end of each session.
