Getting to know Christine Perry

Hello! My name is Christine Perry, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Bakersfield. I believe treatment should be as unique as each individual; therefore, my approach is client/person-centered and strength-based. This allows us to utilize your needs to create a space where you can heal and grow. My approach Throughout my clinical experience, I’ve used techniques based in interpersonal and person-centered therapy. This means we work from the perspective that each individual has the answers they need. During treatment, we will use Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (among others as needed). My focus I have experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, families, and caregivers with concerns ranging from stage of life challenges to severe impairment of daily life. I also have experience with those in crisis (SI, HI, self-harm), eating disorders, mood disorders, relational issues, maladaptive coping skills, addiction, and life adjustment disorders. My communication style My presence in therapy is empathetic, present, and caring, with a dash of humor as appropriate. Depending on the stage of treatment, I can be your cheerleader, your hope holder, or a guide for the next positive transition in your life. My journey to mental healthcare I entered this profession because I am in awe of the strength and bravery of those grappling with life issues, myself included. It takes courage to share your struggles and trust the person sitting across from you while you heal. I will forever honor that. My goals for you During sessions, you can expect to explore your concerns, identify your needs, and work collaboratively in setting goals if needed—otherwise, being a listening ear to help you process.
