Psychotherapist

Congratulations on taking the first step toward self-care and working toward a better future! My goal as a therapist is to provide you with the care and resources you need to succeed moving forward. Each session is focused on you and how we can continue to reach the goals you've set for yourself. When you are ready to begin, reach out, and we will work at your pace to ensure maximum success. My approach I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to focus on unhelpful thought patterns and reshape how we act and think to move toward success. This approach allows you to have more tools at your disposal after therapy has concluded so you can continue to grow and excel in life. This is a collaborative process, and together we will work on the goals and milestones you've established. My focus I work with adults of all ages who are experiencing a variety of challenges in their lives. These challenges can stir up anxiety, depression, and past traumas. Together, we can work through these difficulties and create a roadmap for tailored individual success. My communication style I approach therapy with an open, non-judgmental mindset and utilize active listening during sessions to best hear you and your concerns. With this approach, you will have the time to reflect on where you have been and how to move forward. As we work through tough challenges, I will remain calm and patient to provide the support you need during these times. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my Master's in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I began my clinical work with individuals experiencing serious persistent mental illness, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and have spent the last five years working in crisis settings. Through this training and experience, I have learned how to remain calm in high-intensity situations and to work with individuals who have felt unheard and unseen.
