Psychotherapist
CO
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Colorado since 2011. I hold a Master's degree in Community Mental Health from Adams State University. I believe that no matter who a person is, what they have been through, or where they have come from, change can be created and, in turn, a better world. Resilience can be developed at any stage in life and is one of the greatest tools you will ever have. My approach I utilize a positive, holistic approach, drawing from Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These techniques are applied individually to tailor treatment most effective for each client. My focus I have worked with a diverse population in community behavioral health, forensics, and crisis management. I am comfortable treating individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders. My communication style I tend to have an open and honest dialogue that is calm in nature. Together, we will create a safe space to allow positive change to happen. My journey to mental healthcare Through my work, I have learned behavioral healthcare empowers individuals, increases self-respect and respect for others, promotes health and wellness, and addresses challenges to improve quality of life. This knowledge has driven me as I have witnessed individuals grow and thrive. My goals for you My therapeutic approach is goal-oriented, and I work closely with clients to establish clear and achievable goals. The journey to achieving these goals may feel intimidating at first, but we will tackle each step together. My first session with you During your first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. You can expect to be asked about your concerns and background. We will discuss therapy expectations, review informed consent, and develop a game plan to help you achieve what you are looking for.
