Hi there, I'm Courtney! Hello! I am Courtney Chriss-Price, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from the Bay Area. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology and a Master's in Forensic Psychology, both from Holy Name University. I am an open-minded, curious, and compassionate individual who will help guide you on the journey of change and healing. I have a passion for working with youth and young adults. My approach My theoretical approach varies depending on who I am working with to best meet their needs. Some approaches I tend to incorporate frequently are CBT, DBT, client-centered, mindfulness, and family systems. My focus I have an extensive history working with young kiddos and teens, as well as young adults struggling with substance use, depression, anxiety, and phases of life transitions. Challenges excite me, so just because I am not familiar with something does not mean I am unwilling to learn and step out of my comfort zone, if appropriate. A judgment-free, shame-free, and culturally sensitive environment is what I strive for, and I recognize that to create that space, I will always be learning and welcome feedback. This question helps folks explore the idea of change and identify the steps they need to take toward that goal. It is much easier to achieve a goal with the endgame established, leaving us to collaborate on how we will get there.
