“She is a lovely therapist; I tend to go down rabbit holes a lot, and she helps me stay on point. She also understands and credits me a lot, other therapists that I have spoken too just tell me things and treat me like I am stupid- she makes me feel seen and values me. She empowers me.”

Getting to know Courtney Marshall

Hi! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a PsyD in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I can assist you in managing symptoms of anxiety, recovering from interpersonal trauma and abuse, and creating your ideal life through various therapeutic techniques. I identify as an eclectic therapist who prefers to use a blend of interventions tailored to your individual needs. I believe that no matter your present circumstances or history, through developing self-awareness and collaboratively engaging in consistent hard work and the therapy process, you can achieve your personal and professional goals. By engaging in therapy with me, you will develop a stronger sense of self-awareness, enhance your perception of self and self-esteem, process feelings of anxiety, fear, stress, and confusion, and identify helpful and maladaptive communication and relationship patterns. This fosters emotional, interpersonal, and relational growth, ultimately helping you create your ideal life. There is no strict timeline for therapy with me. While sessions are traditionally held weekly and last 60 minutes, you are welcome to have sessions twice or more per week if clinically indicated and continue until you have achieved your treatment goals—whether that takes a few weeks, months, or even years. This is a judgment-free zone! My hope for you is that you discover you are worthy of living the healthiest and happiest life possible. If given the opportunity, I would love to help you get there!
