Hi there, I'm Cristina! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Diego, with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. I believe in meeting you where you are with empathy, acceptance, and empowerment, as I fully believe in your resilience and ability to grow and heal. I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and my passion is in supporting all women (cis and trans) as well as adult and adolescent members of this community. My approach Effective therapy starts with trusting you are safe. I aim to create a therapeutic environment where you can explore difficult emotions and experiences with mindfulness and support. Together, we will tend to your emotional and bodily experience with the goal of addressing symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and relational issues, ultimately bringing long-lasting healing to your nervous system. My focus My work with clients centers on healing trauma and troubling symptoms (anxiety, mood disorders, etc.) with a mind/body focus. This means we often slow down our sessions to tune into what you are experiencing somatically and tend to this as a path to healing. I specialize in working with religious trauma, adult and adolescent LGBTQIA+ related issues, women's issues, and trauma. My communication style I engage with my clients in a warm, curious manner. It is my goal to listen deeply to fully understand you and how I may best support you through our sessions. I aim to partner with you so together we can explore the hard stuff while also offering tools and insights that lead to growth and healing.
