My Name is Daniela Fernandez, Licensed Mental Health counselor in Florida. I am originally from Chile where I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology. I obtained my master’s degree at Nova Southeastern University and my professional license as well in Florida. I have been working with adults in a variety of ways (community agencies, hospitals, health plans). I have a strong background in social work as well, which has helped me to be Knowle age with community resources. It is important for me to create a safe and welcoming environment for my patients to openly share their day-to-day challenges and discover their best version of themselves.
I am a bilingual English Spanish therapist with a strong background in helping clients navigate mood disorders and other mental challenges. With an empathetic, client centered approach and active listening, I strive to create a safe space for self-discovery and growth. I'm here to support and empower you on your journey. Trust in your own process and let's work together to help you achieve the well-being you deserve. Building a strong, positive, connection in our sessions is Key to unlocking your fullest potential. During our first session, we will focus on establishing trust and rapport. You can expect to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your expectations from the therapy process. I will ask you questions about your life, including medical history. Then together we will create a plan of counseling goals.
My treatment methods; Cognitive Behavioral (CBT); Together, we will identify negative thoughts and ideas that lead to undesirable feelings and actions, and work on improving these thought patterns. You will discover how our thoughts directly influence our feelings and mood.
