Getting to know Daniela Ruiz-Cedeno

Hi there, I'm Daniela! My name is Daniela Ruiz-Cedeño, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in southern California. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I'm passionate about guiding people to find their purpose and live happier, healthier lives. I aim to help individuals break generational cycles of trauma and dysfunction and develop healthier patterns. I work with adults and specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, stress, relationships, and life transitions. My approach I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, centering on balancing acceptance and change. I take a collaborative approach to identifying treatment goals and working together to overcome challenges. I help people discover the function of behaviors and thought patterns and improve their ability to make changes. My focus I have a special interest in working with young adults in the Latino/a community navigating life transitions, identity issues, independence, and strengthening relationships. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. My communication style My style is warm, calm, and genuine. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel understood and valued, helping them find clarity. I listen non-judgmentally and focus on compassion and acceptance while providing gentle, beneficial feedback. My journey to therapy I became a therapist because I have always felt great compassion for people experiencing hardships. I’m curious about the human experience and care deeply about people. Personal experiences taught me that having someone to talk to who offers compassion, understanding, and guidance can be key to overcoming challenges. I find joy in working alongside people to become more resilient, empowered, and content. My first session with you During the first session, we will spend time talking about your current concerns and how you’ve been.
