“I love her services and how she offers therapy. Sometimes I feel like she starts the sessions off pretty serious though which doesn’t allow us to have much small talk to get to know each other and build a one on one connection.”

Getting to know Danielle Mumford

Sometimes we all need someone to listen, validate, and truly hear our story. You may be experiencing emotional pain, suffering, uncontrollable worry, sadness, fatigue, troubled relationships, and/or grief. The reasons for these feelings and struggles vary based on what has happened to YOU. I work with individuals who feel lost and unsure of what is next for them. I help you build and use skills that support emotion regulation, decrease worried thoughts, and increase meaningful connections with yourself and others. You don’t have to face these challenges alone—allow me to be part of your journey. We’ll use evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs to help you on your path to wellness. I love supporting the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and when clinically appropriate, we’ll incorporate nature and outdoor therapy as part of our work together. I believe each of us inherently knows what we need to heal and cultivate experiences that enrich our lives. I will work collaboratively with you to discover and enhance your inner knowledge and strengths. I take the time to listen carefully to your needs and support you on your path to wellness. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus, which informs my compassionate and holistic approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Like any relationship, our first few sessions will be focused on getting to know one another and agreeing on where we want to go. From our first session my goal is to give you tools that you can use and practice that will help decrease distress and improve your day to day life. I provide a safe space to practice skills and reexamine the things that are holding you back. I rely on your feedback and willingness to be vulnerable in our time together. I will utilize walk and talk therapy as in-person sessions. This modality will be discussed in session prior to initiating in order to ensure mutuality and therapeutic appropriateness.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
