Hi there, I'm Danny! My name is Danny Meadows, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a PhD in Psychology from Saybrook University. I believe in finding purpose and living that purpose, and I believe that trauma and the past can help one find meaning in life. I am passionate about helping others find purpose and meaning out of chaos and trauma. My approach I am a natural empath with an existential and humanistic approach. I practice CBT, DBT, IFS, and am trained in many different psychodynamic approaches as well. My focus I work with clients who struggle with traumatic past experiences. I also work with those who have sex/porn addiction as well as eating disorders. My communication style As a natural empath, I am able to understand your language of feelings. I validate and help you feel okay about feeling the way you feel. I have unconditional positive regard for all of who you are and accept everyone for who they are. My journey to therapy I am no stranger to pain. I became a therapist by having been in tough places. I struggled with traumatic experiences that shaped me into the person I am today. I healed through having been treated by some of the best therapists in the field. I have come to know a peace that can only be achieved by doing the work. I am driven by helping others find peace and growth in their lives, and I believe in connecting with all those I help in a way that leads to healing. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative effort. I believe it is important to understand what you want and work with your therapist to design a therapeutic goal. My first session with you A warm and empathetic session that validates feelings and provides understanding of what is being expressed and talked about in the session.
