Danny Thrutchley, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
I help individuals understand their patterns, rebuild trust, and create healthier relationships—even after things have fallen apart. With more than 30 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), I work with individuals, couples, and families facing emotional, relational, legal, and behavioral challenges. I’m also a Colorado Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB) Approved Provider, and I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Psychology with an emphasis in Agency Counseling. I’ve been the founder and clinical director of LifeSkills Counseling Centre LLC in Greeley, Colorado since 1998, where I’ve helped thousands of clients navigate anger, substance use, relationship distress, and trauma. My approach I use cognitive-behavioral strategies, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention tools, and psychoeducation, but I always adapt my tools based on what works for you. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all—some clients need structure, while others need space to process past experiences and emotions. Whatever the case, I’m here to help you make the changes that matter. My focus I specialize in working with adults—especially men—who are ready to face their behavior, understand the root causes, and make meaningful changes. Whether someone is struggling with emotional regulation, family conflict, the aftermath of divorce, or involvement with the court system, I create a space where they can be honest, be challenged, and feel supported. I bring a trauma-informed, accountability-based lens to all of my work, and I customize my approach based on each person’s strengths, needs, and learning style. My communication style My style is straightforward, relational, and collaborative. I’m not a therapist who just listens and nods. I believe in showing up, being real, and working hard with my clients. Many of them tell me they feel like they can talk to me without shame.
