Hi there, I'm Darin! Hi! I’m Dr. Darin Deterra. I have a PhD in Psychology and I’ve been a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) for more than 25 years. I’m a Holistic Therapist, Coach, and Healer. I call this the Golden Triad. I have many specialties, including trauma work, somatic (embodied) therapy, energy healing, couples counseling, and much more. My approach As a Holistic Therapist, I work with interpersonal relationships, somatic therapy, and with trauma. I work with couples, improving communication and fostering greater intimacy. I have created a holistic diagnostic system in which there is nothing wrong with you. Holistic Therapy means that physical health, mental health, and spiritual health are deeply connected. As a coach, I have videos, PDFs, and trainings that I offer to clients. Transforming Your Relationship with Money is an example. As a healer, all traumas are stored in the energy body. Thoughts and emotions are frequencies. We do not have to spend years in pain to grow and transform! My focus Every client comes with a unique set of experiences, feelings, and needs. An experienced therapist will tailor therapy to the unique needs of each client. I find myself playing the role of a safe father for many clients who didn't grow up with a safe, available, or loving dad. Many women have traumas and deep mistrust relating to men, particularly narcissistic men. For these women, we are building a new template or model for a safe relationship that honors the Divine Feminine. A lot of men need to be initiated into the Divine Masculine - a mature masculinity that's built on a self-defined "code of honor. Other clients are working from a completely different set of needs. My communication style I have been trained in Non-Violent Communication (NVC), Parent Effectiveness Training (PET), and Nonverbal Communication. I offer clients a free Seven-Minute Video on Communication that's comprehensive and informative.
