I imagine that everyone looking at this profile is seeking support from someone that they can connect with and trust. If this sounds like you, please know that I have been in your shoes. While I know that some people are seeking a specific therapeutic modality, I believe that most people are just seeking relief from their challenges. If you are seeking a therapist who values your story, honors your identity, and is dedicated to your well-being, I invite you to reach out. Let’s work together to create lasting, positive change. My approach is client-centered, beginning with getting to know you as a whole person. I focus on your strengths, recognizing that you’ve already developed coping skills to navigate life’s challenges. I listen with empathy, provide education and insight when helpful, and validate your experiences. I’m honest and may gently challenge your perceptions—not to discourage you, but to help you move closer to your goals. I believe therapy is a collaborative process: you bring your lived experiences, I bring my professional expertise, and together we create a path toward the change you want to see. I work with individuals and couples who are ready to explore their challenges, build on their strengths, and move toward meaningful change. My ideal clients may be navigating relationship concerns, life transitions, or the effects of stress and past experiences. I am especially passionate about supporting diverse clients, including those from different cultural backgrounds, by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where their voices are heard and valued. Together, we’ll identify what’s working, address what’s not, and develop strategies that help you reach your personal and relational goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My tone in therapy is warm and conversational. While I’m trained in the language of the profession, I know it can sometimes feel overwhelming or disconnected, so I focus on speaking in a way that’s clear and relatable. I meet you where you are—never talking above or down to you—and I want us to openly discuss and define how we communicate best. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and respected. My own life has been filled with challenges—some from circumstances, others from choices I’ve made. I know firsthand what it’s like to experience loss, depression, anxiety, and dysfunction. These experiences have shaped me into a therapist who deeply respects each person’s journey and approaches my work without judgment. I see this career as a calling, using both my clinical expertise and my lived experiences to connect with others. I believe that even in life’s struggles, there is meaning and purpose, and my goal is to help you discover that for yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At the start of our work together, we’ll create clear, meaningful goals that reflect what you want to achieve. I may ask you to imagine what your life would look like if therapy were successful—a kind of ‘backwards design’ approach. From there, we work together to map out the steps to get you from where you are now to where you want to be, adjusting along the way to make sure we stay on track toward your vision. In our first session, I’ll ask a lot of questions—not just about your challenges, but about who you are as a person. There will be some ‘problem-free’ conversations so we can begin to connect and build rapport. While I do have certain things I must cover as a clinician, I also want you to know I’m a human being, and this work is deeply personal to me. This is your time to share your needs, hopes, dreams, and what you’ve already tried so far. My goal is for us to start laying the foundation for a strong, collaborative relationship.
