Sometimes what everybody needs is a good listening..As a Social Worker with over 25 years of experience, I have learned time and time again that we all get caught in the struggles of living life, and through the process of journeying alongside each other, we help each other through those challenges to thrive Using the practical tools of motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I listen deeply so that together, we come up with ideas, the goal being to find ways for you to live your best life always. I support clients seeking knowledge and insight for and about themselves. Grief and living with chronic, progressive illness (such as ALS, Dementia, and/or Parkinson's) are the journeys I am comfortable walking with patients and their families. "When people are faced with progressive illness, understanding the diagnosis and its impact on those we love is the best way to limit the loss of control one feels."

What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether virtual or in person, I will listen deeply to understand you, reflect, to make sure I understand what you are saying, and respond compassionately to your journey as you see it My journey into therapy began with my own experiences as a daughter of parents living with chronic illness. This created a curiosity around the uniqueness of the individual journey as well as those around them. I have a desire to help you tap into your own resilience, as you have your own answers in your journey. I am a cheerleader, a mentor, and a coach, helping you thrive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Goals are about you, what you want, what you need at any point in your life. My job is to listen and help you figure it all out. I don't have your answers. I hold a mirror often to reflect back what you already know Starting something new is both exciting and scary..... Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. Together, we will explore the hopes, dreams, and worries that bring you to this first session and what you want from this journey we are starting. You need to feel comfortable with me, and I with you. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to guide you through each step of the process.
