You aren't alone, even if it feels like it. I will meet you where you are at with no judgement. I have a lengthy personal history of being a first responder, allowing me to be more understanding about these professions and the unique challenges they face. I want you to be happy and gain coping skills to reach that goal. My focus I deal with people who have been through trauma and grief. I deal with first responders, medical professionals, veterans, and their families. I like to work with individuals who have anxiety and life transition challenges. Together, we’ll build coping skills and create a personalized plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable. My approach My approach is rooted in honesty, and I am known for my ability to provide direct feedback in a caring and supportive manner, often incorporating humor to enhance the healing process. I have many tools in my toolbox, including Internal Family Systems and EMDR. My communication style I am open, honest, and direct. I will meet you where you are at. I do like to use humor when possible. I love it when clients are curious and ask questions. My journey to mental healthcare As a first responder, I had to determine immediately if the problem was mental or medical. This led me to be more curious about the therapy aspects of caring for each other. I learned a lot about trauma when it happens and have seen the results it can have on individuals, their lives, and their relationships. My goals for you I approach therapy by meeting clients exactly where they are, offering compassionate, trauma-informed care tailored to each person’s unique experiences. If possible, I provide some coping skills from the first day we meet, and throughout the process, I utilize a holistic approach and treat the whole person. Our first session Your first session with me will be getting to know each other. I will tell you some about myself and then learn a lot about you.
