Kidd, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Colorado, as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Adams State University and bring over 23 years of professional clinical experience in Behavioral Health and Addiction Recovery Services. I work with adults facing a variety of challenges, including substance use and recovery, co-dependency, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, women’s issues, relationship concerns, career challenges, and life transitions. My approach My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including community health centers, substance use treatment programs, employee assistance programs, and hospital/emergency mental health services. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), EMDR, Family Systems, Addiction Recovery, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and psycho-education. I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. My focus I work with adults ages 18 and up from all backgrounds. My therapy style is warm, interactive, trauma-informed, and solution-focused. I approach the therapeutic relationship with sensitivity, compassion, and respect for multicultural factors. I believe growth and healing are collaborative processes.
