Getting to know Diana Mack

Hi, and thanks for stopping by! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I've been a social worker/therapist for over a decade and feel lucky and proud to be able to do what I get to do, which is to help and support people. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, but my work has primarily been with the adult population. My approach I am someone who is curious by nature and hope that you will try and be curious about your life too. We don't always need to know the 'why' of how things come to be (even though we sometimes want to know why). I think something to consider asking yourself is the 'what' (What do you want to do about this situation?) If you are someone who is uncertain, curious or you know what you want to work on, we will work together to help you get there! Some of the approaches I use in my work are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based, Solution-focused/Problem-solving, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Crisis Intervention. My focus The type of clients that I have been providing treatment to over the years has been focused on trauma, anxiety, depression, mood management, and suicidal ideation. The issues and concerns individuals focus on are communication problems, not being able to set boundaries with others (or for yourself), family dynamics (separation, divorce), life transitions (post-grad, job/role changes, getting ready to retire, etc.). My communication style I hope to create an environment that is non-judgmental, understanding, and accepting. I hope that you will be able to experience the earnest approach I take. I will always be honest with each person I work with because I do not gain anything from not being honest and open with the individuals I work with. I believe that you can be honest and kind. And you can be firm and gentle.
