Diane Prosser, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Diane! I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship patterns, and struggles with self-worth. I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can understand what lies beneath the symptoms and create meaningful, lasting change. My focus I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship patterns, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with clients who want not only symptom relief, but deeper self-understanding, greater emotional freedom, and meaningful personal growth. My approach My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I look beyond symptoms to understand the experiences, patterns, and beliefs beneath them. Drawing from trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches, I tailor therapy to each client, helping them build self-understanding and compassion, emotional flexibility, and meaningful, lasting change. My communication style My communication style is warm, thoughtful, and direct. I listen closely and offer honest, compassionate feedback while creating space for curiosity, reflection, and even humor when appropriate. I aim to help clients feel understood without simply agreeing, and I gently challenge patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to this work in part through facing challenges of my own when I was young, which gave me an early appreciation for how deeply people can struggle and still grow. My work continues to deepen through experience and advanced training, strengthening my belief that change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals by working collaboratively to clarify what they want to change, understand what may be getting in the way, and build practical strategies for moving forward.
