Hello, and welcome. My name is Donysia Green-Gilmore, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas and over 20 years of experience working with adults, teens, and grade-school-aged children. I commend you on taking the first step toward focusing on your mental health needs. I provide therapy for individual adults, teens, and children, treating acute and post-traumatic stress disorders, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and stressors related to life changes. I utilize an integrated mix of therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My approach My therapeutic style prioritizes the therapist-client relationship above all. The key to successful treatment has been the quality of the working relationship between myself and my clients. I strive to be non-judgmental and respectful, with an authentic desire to provide excellent treatment. My focus I have spent most of my career working with clients who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and maladjustment to life changes. I enjoy using my skills and experience in treating these conditions. My communication style I process with clients in a warm and respectful manner. Clients appreciate my ability to listen and respond calmly and thoughtfully. I believe not every moment in therapy must be filled with words. Sometimes sitting quietly with a client is what they need; other times, a higher level of energy is required depending on the topic, emotions, and affect. I meet clients where they are and provide a safe, comfortable space.
