Getting to know Doreen Sielert

Are you looking for someone who will really listen with empathy, compassion, and without judgment while offering tools to help you find your way forward? My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), I help individuals navigate substance use challenges, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and other life stressors. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way and build the insight and skills to create lasting change. I’m mindful of how systems of oppression, inequity, and the weight of the world can impact mental and emotional well-being. I strive to create a space that feels inclusive, affirming, and grounded in compassion and respect for each person’s unique experience. It’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they rediscover their strength and resilience and to witness the growth that happens when they feel truly seen and supported.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first few sessions, we will take the time to review your history and develop treatment goals. Throughout treatment, I will provide you with essential tools and resources to address your identified problem(s) and we will periodically assess your progress to fine-tune our collaborative approach. You will gain insight into your core beliefs and thoughts, how these affect your behavior, and how to change them.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
