Hi there, I'm Eleanor! Hello, my name is Eleanor Odermatt, LCSW. I provide humor, warmth, and a compassionate, non-judgmental place where you can feel safe to share your concerns and thoughts. Together, we will work on your individual situation as a team. We will set goals and, through a variety of goal-directed activities and conversations, help you make the changes that lead to positive growth in your life. I can also include faith-based elements in treatment if you desire. This will be work... but it will be worth it. My approach I prefer to utilize an eclectic approach to assist you with your unique situation and goals. I provide supportive treatment using a client-focused, person-centered approach to find the best method or combination of methods that work for you. My approach starts where you are and focuses on your specific needs and goals. Techniques I may include are CBT/DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, among others. This flexibility allows me to create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs and designed to help you reach your chosen goals. My focus I work with adults and adolescents of any gender, ranging from age 13 to senior citizens. I support people who want to make changes in their lives and are willing to put in the work and challenge themselves to move forward with their goals and improve their ability to cope with symptoms related to mental health concerns. I also work with individuals suffering from severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. Additionally, I have experience working with sexual offenders, both adolescents and adult males, in a forensic setting. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Fresno, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate and effective care.
