My name is Ellie Trotta, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Burbank, California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master's degree in Psychology, Marriage Family Therapy, and Clinical Counseling from California Southern University. I have worked with a wide variety of clients experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, and stress, as well as chronic mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and various personality disorders. My approach is very client-centered, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to success in therapy. I am highly attuned to which techniques will work best for my clients. My approach I have experience integrating a variety of therapeutic techniques specifically tailored to my clients' needs while providing a compassionate and safe space to promote healing. Depending on the client's needs and goals, I use inner child techniques, psychodynamic, experiential, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused, and positive therapy techniques. My focus I work with adult clients addressing a variety of current mental health concerns, including attachment and abandonment issues from childhood, relationship difficulties, career challenges, communication issues, loneliness, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, work issues, stress management, life transitions, and other challenges. My communication style I view the therapist-client relationship as highly sacred and treat my clients with respect, sensitivity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe validation and empathy are necessary parts of the therapeutic process and approach clients with warmth and compassion. I also empower clients to be experts in their own lives; the therapist is the tour guide, but this is your therapeutic journey, and I will respect working at a pace that is comfortable for you.
