Elizabeth Himsl-Elliott, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I'm Beth-my full name is Elizabeth Himsl-Elliott, and most people call me Beth (she/her). I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling from National University. I love working with people as they navigate and integrate changes or seek support in understanding and processing past experiences. I approach our time together with gentle curiosity, compassion, and unconditional love. All parts of you are welcome in sessions, even those that might feel difficult or shameful. Some of the approaches I use include Attachment-Based, Experiential, Somatic, Existential, Family Systems, Trauma-Informed, and Transpersonal therapy. I believe it's important to acknowledge the impact of social and environmental systems on our emotional, physical, and spiritual health. I welcome all backgrounds and orientations and provide a safe, supportive space for people to build coping skills, process emotions and experiences, and explore life transitions. I also support Near Death Experiencers (NDErs) in integrating their unique experiences. Creating a welcoming, safe space for clients is central to my work. I explore what brings clients to therapy, what they hope to gain, and how they will know when therapy has been successful. I encourage introductions, questions, and sharing anything important about themselves and their goals. My own therapy journey has been life-transforming. It took me a long time to fulfill my dream of becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I feel honored and blessed to share what I have learned to enhance others' well-being.
