Elizabeth Ortiz, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 6 years of experience working in the mental health field with children, families, couples, and adults. When I am not practicing therapy, you can find me working out, enjoying quality time with friends and family, and traveling. My approach My therapeutic approach is motivated by the idea that it is important to connect with individuals and provide them with a safe and comfortable environment as they navigate through their journey of healing and self-exploration. I hope that working together, we will find strength and empowerment to address unresolved conflicts in all aspects of life. My focus I completed and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development with a minor in Human Services, as well as a master's Degree in School-Based Family Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. The clients that I typically work with range from 5-99 years of age, with a variety of mental health concerns from anxiety, stress, depression, and adjustment to another mental health diagnosis. My communication style Therapy can be beneficial for many things and moments in our lives. I will provide support, guidance, strategies, and education, which can improve our lives and motivate us to attain our personal and life-long goals. It would be my pleasure to be part of this journey that you are choosing to begin. I listen to my clients, engage honestly, and occasionally provide home practice strategies/suggestions to ensure that we are not only talking but working towards our goals. My first session with you The first session is about us building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where you are in life. You can expect the majority of our time talking about how you have been feeling recently and me asking questions to better understand your needs in therapy.
