Getting to know Eric Lopez
I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I studied psychology at the University of Florida and earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University. I am client-centered in my approach to therapy and believe empathy and understanding are critical to the therapeutic relationship. I have over 15 years of counseling experience in Florida, where I hold my current license, LMHC.
The clients I have worked with range in age from 5 to 85 and come from diverse races, ethnicities, cultures, backgrounds, political beliefs, and sexual orientations. In my opinion, the key to effective counseling and real client progress is an open, empathetic, and trusting therapeutic relationship where the client feels safe, heard, and understood. With the client as the expert on their own life, the therapist and client together can bring clarity to thoughts, emotions, values, priorities, situations, and decisions.
I integrate cognitive, behavioral, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, existential, and other counseling approaches tailored to each client’s needs and personality. Helping clients overcome challenges and function at their best is both my goal and my honor.

All my appointments with this provider has been cancelled. I scheduled based on avaialble time. The system automatically schedule 4 appointments for continuity which is good. However, 24 hrs before all apointments went canceled all at the same but I still receiving the text messages for the televisit which is confusing because I reschedule it based on the cancellations and had been cancelled again. I had to complete all forms and assesments everytime I scheduled. Unfortunally I move on with another company to schedule the appointment. I hope they did not charge me or submit a claim to my insurance
