Getting to know Erica Martin
I am a passionately driven Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services in both in-patient and out-patient settings. I take pride in my ability to adapt to different situations, allowing me to meet clients where they are in their journey.
I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills, which laid a strong foundation for my clinical work.
My approach
I have been trained in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and seeking safety. Coming from a psychodynamic background, I utilize an eclectic approach, believing therapy should be centered around the client's needs.
My focus
With 15 years in the mental health field, I provide services to adolescents and adults facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, complex trauma, addiction, grief, and co-occurring disorders. I have worked with diverse children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and LGBTQ+ communities in group and individual settings.

I prioritize creating a judgment-free, safe, and comfortable environment to build a strong therapeutic relationship, helping clients feel at ease sharing their most intimate and vulnerable experiences.
My journey to mental healthcare
My passion to help others began in my teenage years. As I matured, I became fascinated by how individuals develop behavior patterns and make life decisions. Growing up in a culturally diverse area of Los Angeles has enriched my ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
