Erin Costello, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Erin! My pronouns are she/they, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and Neuro-Queer clients. I provide affirming, intersectional, trauma-focused therapy where you can feel understood, explore what shaped you, and build a life that feels authentic to who you are. My focus I work primarily with neurodivergent and/or LGBTQ+ individuals and especially enjoy working with teens. I support clients navigating identity, relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, or feeling misunderstood. If you’ve spent years masking or feeling like you don’t quite fit, therapy can be a place to feel seen and understood. My approach My approach is collaborative, intersectional, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-focused. I look at the whole person, including identity, relationships, environment & lived experiences, to understand what you’re experiencing. Together, we’ll develop strategies that work with who you are to help you achieve who you want to become. My communication style I want therapy to feel like a space where you can relax, be yourself, and feel genuinely understood. I bring warmth, empathy, honesty, and curiosity to our work, and I’m always happy to hear about your latest hyper fixation. I’m not afraid to use humor and laugh with you in session. We’ll make room for both the hard moments and the lighter ones. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began when I started therapy at just 8 years old. My own therapist became an important role model and showed me how meaningful it can be to have someone truly show up for you. I’ve carried that with me ever since: if I can help even one person the way my therapist helped me, this career will be worth it.
