Erin Janovec, LPC

Psychotherapist
VA
Hello! My name is Erin Janovec. I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with a Master’s in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. My approach to therapy is humanistic and integrated, considering each individual's unique needs. I am certified in EMDR and trained in TF-CBT. I tailor treatment plans to the needs of each individual and work collaboratively to develop goals and objectives. Common therapeutic approaches I may use include cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, DBT skills, person-centered, REBT, and reality-based methods. I have worked with clients of all ages and with a variety of diagnoses. My experience includes supporting individuals with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and more. Trauma-informed care is essential to my practice. I aim to maintain a calm and comforting tone and communication style. Many people describe me as "easy to talk to" and say it "feels like we are just having a conversation." My own experiences with struggles have fueled my desire to help others find ways to cope with theirs. I am passionate about the belief that everyone can improve and learn to manage their difficulties. I want to empower others to find their voice and confidence. Goal setting is a collaborative process where we work together to establish goals and objectives that are meaningful to you. In our first session, I will gather information about your current situation and past experiences. We will begin discussing diagnosis and treatment goals to guide our work together.
