Hello, my name is Estrella Ramirez-Robles. I am an LA native who loves everything Dodgers, Lakers, and Chargers (yes, still a Chargers fan even though the Rams won the Super Bowl), and who does not shy away from trying new food, exploring the world, and saying NO to things that will not make me happy. I am a coffee lover, professional dog snuggler, and someone who is an introvert at heart but an extrovert by profession. I graduated with my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary's University in 2012 and have been practicing therapy since. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with children, teens, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, identity struggles, and overcoming various levels of trauma. For six years, I worked primarily with children, teens, and their families who had open cases with the Department of Child and Family Services or the Juvenile Justice System, providing not only mental health support but advocacy as well. Once licensed, I began my journey in private practice working with adults and couples, supporting them through life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief, and everything that comes with adulting. I am the type of therapist who will be compassionate, understanding, empathetic, and hold an unconditional positive view of my clients, but I will also be honest with you about what you are going through and the changes that need to happen. It is really important to me that my clients feel empowered to make the best decisions for their lives, while also understanding the potential outcomes those decisions may bring. I will do the work with you, not for you, and I will do my best to ensure that your experience with therapy is one of emotional and mental growth.
