Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Fletcher! I believe that therapy is not about getting fixed. Rather, its emphasis and power lie in the attempt to better understand oneself through the exploration of thoughts and feelings. This process of exploration enables us to live fully and more aligned with our wants and needs. Oftentimes, an individual comes to therapy with an issue or perhaps a variety of issues. These challenges might cause distress or negatively impact an aspect of one's life in some way or another. This can be quite difficult and daunting. In the process of therapy, insight is developed through feeling, expression, and the courage to explore aspects of ourselves that we are strangers to. As sound psychotherapy takes place, meaningful change can occur and the tables may turn-managing it, instead of it managing you. I hold an MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University. My approach I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy to treat a variety of focuses, such as depression, anxiety, OCD, men's issues, relationship issues, career issues, and spirituality/existential concerns. I will use cognitive behavioral modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERPT (Exposure Response Prevention Therapy) as needed. My focus I offer psychotherapy and counseling services for adolescents, adult individuals, and couples. My communication style In therapy, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where you feel safe to express yourself.
