Psychotherapist
CA
Greetings and congrats on your decision to seek help addressing your concerns. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you so we can help bring a positive resolution to your concerns. My approach I am someone who will listen to your concerns and stressors and then collaborate with you on finding and implementing practical strategies to address them. I take a problem-solving approach in my use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My focus Are you dealing with anxiety-provoking thoughts, depression, feelings like nobody cares about you, needing solutions to real problems, relationship difficulties, and wondering where is God in all of this? Let's talk. My communication style I have a gentle approach to counseling, one that helps you to feel relaxed and safe knowing that you have someone who has your best interests in mind. I will listen to and respect your views and experiences as we collaborate to address the things that are causing distress in your life. My journey to mental healthcare I became a mental health therapist because I found the experience to be rewarding as I see the growth and improvement in clients. I found in my own life and in the lives of clients that the most powerful change agent is an abiding personal relationship with God. He has shown me that He has called me into this field of work. My goals for you We will discuss what you want to accomplish in therapy, then problem-solve ways to reach your goals-- one step at a time. As you are open to improving your practice of healthy lifestyle principles, I will encourage you to do so, including promoting Biblical principles in the process. My first session with you Your first session is a chance for us to discuss what brings you to therapy. If it's your first experience of therapy, it’s normal to feel nervous meeting someone new. You are free to share at a pace that is comfortable for you.
