Getting to know Genny Mutz

I have spent most of my career guiding adolescents and adults through a variety of challenging life experiences that can impact a person emotionally and mentally. I have assisted clients in overcoming difficult situations by recognizing their inner strengths and learning to overcome fears and self-doubts. This is what inspires my practice. I draw from a variety of therapeutic models and theories because I know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to understanding you and your life. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, individualized care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the therapeutic journey, we may explore your lifestyle patterns and how they impact your mental health and overall well-being. You will learn new skills and explore thought patterns that often block us from recognizing our strengths and full potential. I will ask you to participate in the development of your treatment plan and together we will find what works best for you. I also enjoy sharing the neuroscience behind why we think and feel the way we do and teaching you how to rewire thought patterns to improve your capacity for success in life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Ive been very pleased to be able to connect with my therapist and slowly but surely (at a comfortable pace I’ve needed) see the progress I’ve been able to make with her assistance. I look forward to continuing therapy sessions her! As for this platform, it’s by far one of the best ways to receive and manage therapy appointments!
