Glenda Dillingham, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello! I am Glenda Dillingham, LMFT. I have a background in psychodynamics and work with a wide range of clients to promote good mental health. My approach I have a client-centered approach to therapy, meaning that the client is in charge of the dynamic. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, and other modalities to treat trauma, depression, anxiety, and family issues. My focus I treat many people who have survived trauma and abuse, as well as those struggling with anxiety and depression. I also enjoy working with couples, teens, and elders in the community. My communication style I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere for my clients. Unless it is necessary (addiction issues, etc.), I am not confrontational. I believe in empowering and guiding clients through their process. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been a good listener with a passion to help others. I feel this is my calling and strive to be the best version of myself as a therapist and as a person. My goals for you After gathering history and general concerns, I ask the client what bothers them the most and what they want their life to look like in the future. My first session with you The initial session is to get to know the client as a person, not just the problem they are addressing. I will explain the different therapeutic strategies that suit their needs and agree on an approach that works for them.
