Psychotherapist
NC
I believe therapists are only wounded survivors with education and training, who seek to help their fellow person face life's difficulties. Just like you, I have faced hardship and continue to work every day towards a better self. I aim to provide my clients with an experience that puts them in a position to succeed. My space is a judgment-free zone, with work taken at your own pace. I don’t have the magic solution to solve your problems, but I am well-equipped to help you find those answers within yourself. I encourage you to take a leap of faith for yourself, as life changes are achievable when individual ideas collide with positive actions. I have a very eclectic counseling style. I have a unique ability to adapt my style/approach to meet the individual needs of each client. I am well-versed in cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and reality therapy. I have worked with a very diverse population of clients in the past, and ALL are welcome. I believe therapists are only wounded survivors with education and training, who seek to help their fellow men/women to face life's difficulties.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, we will begin the process of getting to know each other. It is always my desire at our first meeting to find out where a new client is in their life, talk about where they want to go with their life, and work together to develop a road map to enable them to get there. That is normally the direction I try to lead our first session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I hold unconditional positive regard for my clients and a deep empathy for their experiences. I’m very rarely shocked by what is brought up in session, and I cherish the connection developed between therapist and patient. I’ll keep it real with you as compassionately and directly as I can. This authentic approach is the catalyst for change, which I am proud to offer my clients.
