Getting to know Guisela Gutierrez

Do you feel powerless, hopeless, and lost with your pre-teen or adolescent? Are your emotional, physical, and mental well-being impacted by the stressors of parenting, home, and work demands? I provide client-centered individual parent therapy, individual adolescent therapy (ages 11-17), and parent & child counseling. I treat clients who may suffer from conditions including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and interpersonal issues. My name is Guisela Gutierrez, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I am a proud Angeleno with Central American/Mexican roots and a mother of two beautiful children, ages 11 and 16. For the past nine years, I have served as a school social worker and Mental Health Consultant in the Los Angeles Unified School District, providing clinical services, crisis intervention, and consultation for children ages 5-17, adult students, and other school stakeholders such as staff and parents. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
